About HCAI

Human Centred Artificial Intelligence

Human Centred Artificial Intelligence (HCAI) addresses one of the most pressing challenges in AI today. HCAI is about creating AI that puts people first and in control. Our focus is to ensure that AI is safe, fair, ethical, inclusive, and useful, while being developed responsibly to benefit both individuals and society.

The Problem We Are Solving

Biases in generative AI training data can produce stereotypical or prejudiced content, creating an unwelcoming environment for women and discouraging them from pursuing AI careers. Real-world examples include AI diagnostic systems that inaccurately assess women’s health because they were trained predominantly on male-focused datasets. Addressing these biases is essential to ensure fair, inclusive AI systems that produce equitable outcomes in education, employment, healthcare, and financial services.

HCAI exists to advance this responsible, human-centred approach to AI equipping people with the skills and awareness to identify ethical risks, question bias in AI systems, and champion fairer, more accountable technology.

Our Approach
